István Gere might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fülöp Sipos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. István Gere ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th match minute, Újszász was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kálmán Madaras to maneuver through the defense. Géza Rigó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kornél Madaras, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waclaw Bugajski couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

During the 55th minute of the match Lukács Mátrai completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lukács Mátrai a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Kálmán Madaras got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Kálmán Madaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Team Schell fc's goal looked a bit too open when Zsolt Bódi came free, but Géza Rigó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zsolt Bódi struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Géza Rigó didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Újszász. Géza Rigó was a little too slow when Kornél Madaras got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-1. Újszász's Rajmund Sági was substituted for Zsolt Bódi. Pál Sós charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pál Sós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th match minute, Újszász was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pál Sós to maneuver through the defense.
