Emánuel Ferenczy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferenc Végh having to interfere. Péter Kósa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ferenc Végh made a huge save. In the 25th minute of the match, Emánuel Ferenczy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ferenc Végh saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ferenc Végh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emánuel Ferenczy's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Lajos Balogh hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The long shot by Roland Mátrai in the 28th minute really tested Ferenc Végh's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 33rd match minute, Pátka Spartacus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zénó Sallói to maneuver through the defense. Péter Kuncz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Géza Varsányi. Pátka Spartacus's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ferenc Végh made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Péter Kósa sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Going Down's zone, Emánuel Ferenczy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferenc Végh came out of the goal and Emánuel Ferenczy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Péter Kósa got free with Ferenc Végh in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Péter Kósa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pátka Spartacus's supporters rose to their feet, but Péter Kósa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferenc Végh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emánuel Ferenczy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Péter Kósa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Attila Páncsics to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Going Down's goal looked a bit too open when Emánuel Ferenczy came free, but Ferenc Végh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Szabolcs Szabados came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Pátka Spartacus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Szabolcs Szabados couldn't finish the play. Péter Kósa struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ferenc Végh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pátka Spartacus. Emánuel Ferenczy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Pátka Spartacus's Péter Kósa in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 75th minute Péter Kósa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Végh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
