Kornél Laczkó kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Medárd Kovács took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from József Sugár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 10 minutes, Tibor Kinizsi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rudivár se's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibor Kinizsi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sajószöged KTK's zone, Lajos Váczi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. József Lőrincz came out of the goal and Lajos Váczi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tibor Kinizsi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rudivár se's supporters rose to their feet, but Tibor Kinizsi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. József Lőrincz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Medárd Kovács made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when László Józsa sent off a good shot on target. Medárd Kovács made an important save on a dangerous shot by József Sugár in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sajószöged KTK's Sándor Orosz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Medárd Kovács. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. 21 minutes into the match, József Sugár dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Medárd Kovács, 2-0. Viktor Kőváry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without József Lőrincz having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Sajószöged KTK's Brúnó Bodnár dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After 33 minutes, József Sugár mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sajószöged KTK and the Rudivár se players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Sajószöged KTK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Sugár to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rudivár se's Tibor Kinizsi got a free kick in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when László Józsa got free with Medárd Kovács in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Medárd Kovács showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sándor Orosz, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Medárd Kovács was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Brúnó Bodnár capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brúnó Bodnár really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and József Sugár made a kick off. Medárd Kovács showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Józsa in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Brúnó Bodnár made a precise shot to the right of Medárd Kovács. Rudivár se's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. The referee showed Ferenc Peterdy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sajószöged KTK booed when Rudivár se was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferenc Peterdy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Medárd Kovács made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from József Sugár in the 73rd minute of play. With his leg József Lőrincz managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Rudivár se's Viktor Kőváry fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tibor Kinizsi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rudivár se's supporters rose to their feet, but Tibor Kinizsi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sajószöged KTK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rudivár se had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
