Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kázmér Virágh started the match with the kick off. László Józsa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, Sajószöged KTK's goal looked a bit too open when Kázmér Virágh came free, but József Lőrincz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vatta's goalkeeper Domonkos Fülep, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Csaba Kárpáthy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. József Sugár fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domonkos Fülep having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sajószöged KTK defense, Zoltán Pataky kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of József Lőrincz. The Sajószöged KTK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that József Lőrincz should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, László Józsa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sajószöged KTK's supporters rose to their feet, but László Józsa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domonkos Fülep breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 minutes of play, Sajószöged KTK's László Józsa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domonkos Fülep was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Vatta defense, László Józsa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domonkos Fülep. The Vatta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domonkos Fülep should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Sajószöged KTK were awarded a corner. Boldizsár Orosz went to the cornerflag to take it. Domonkos Fülep didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from József Sugár went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vatta's goalkeeper Domonkos Fülep, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Csaba Kárpáthy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Vatta's József Lőrincz threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zoltán Pataky, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sándor Orosz in the 44th minute of play forced Vatta's goalkeeper Domonkos Fülep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domonkos Fülep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from László Józsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, József Lőrincz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Brúnó Bodnár kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Sajószöged KTK were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for József Sugár to strike the kick off in the second half. Kázmér Virágh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but József Lőrincz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Domonkos Fülep didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sándor Orosz went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. László Józsa scored 1-5 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Domonkos Fülep, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Vatta booed when Sajószöged KTK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kornél Laczkó didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Csaba Kárpáthy sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sajószöged KTK's József Lőrincz didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szabolcs Gyarmati in the 68th minute of play forced Sajószöged KTK's goalkeeper József Lőrincz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sajószöged KTK's Kornél Veres got a free kick in the 69th minute. József Lőrincz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoltán Pataky in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Sándor Orosz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sajószöged KTK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sándor Orosz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Vatta's zone, Brúnó Bodnár stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domonkos Fülep came out of the goal and Brúnó Bodnár tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. László Józsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domonkos Fülep having to interfere. Sajószöged KTK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
