The supporters of Tripolisz-Angyalföld FC. booed when Gellénháza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbert Pálinkás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Endre Veres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Kenesei, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tripolisz-Angyalföld FC.'s goalkeeper Endre Veres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zsolt Győrffy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Endre Veres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Szilveszter Győri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivér Vörös in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Erik Kenesei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tripolisz-Angyalföld FC.'s zone, Erik Kenesei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Endre Veres came out of the goal and Erik Kenesei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Zsolt Győrffy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Tripolisz-Angyalföld FC. got a freekick which was hit by Mátyás Hatvani. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zsolt Győrffy made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Erik Kenesei took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Endre Veres to make any attempt to save it. After 55 played minutes Tripolisz-Angyalföld FC. got a freekick which was hit by Gábor Sebők. In the 58th minute, Gellénháza's Erik Kenesei dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 62nd minute, András Torma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 minutes of play Tripolisz-Angyalföld FC.'s Károly Paál was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Károly Paál kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Endre Veres came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gellénháza's Zsolt Győrffy. But to his dismay, Zsolt Győrffy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Balázs Sóti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Gábor Sebők shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szilveszter Győri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Endre Veres made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Zsolt Győrffy sent off a good shot on target. The Gellénháza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gellénháza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
