Kázmér Vörös ran back to his position shaking his head. Roland Harsányi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. János Berki made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Kázmér Vörös sent off a good shot on target. Budapest Honvéd FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ádám Zombori 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When Richárd Kővári fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Györgytarló's protests and gave Richárd Kővári a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Richárd Kővári hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bálint Sólyom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes of play Györgytarló's Richárd Kővári was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 43 played minutes Györgytarló got a freekick which was hit by Richárd Kővári. The supporters of Budapest Honvéd FC booed when Györgytarló was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihamér Gáspár didn't get a good kick on the ball. Endre Vas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Harsányi to make the kick off. Budapest Honvéd FC's János Berki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kázmér Vörös in the 53rd minute of play. János Berki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kázmér Vörös in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Ákos Sinkó ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. János Berki was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Kázmér Vörös sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kázmér Vörös scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of János Berki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 67 minutes, Tihamér Gáspár managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Györgytarló's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tihamér Gáspár was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tihamér Gáspár recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Budapest Honvéd FC's zone, Kázmér Vörös stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. János Berki came out of the goal and Kázmér Vörös tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Budapest Honvéd FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tihamér Gáspár came free, but János Berki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Roland Harsányi came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Budapest Honvéd FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Harsányi couldn't finish the play. Tihamér Gáspár struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. János Berki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Györgytarló. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kázmér Vörös in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg János Berki saved Budapest Honvéd FC from getting behind. When Györgytarló's Kázmér Vörös in 96 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. János Berki guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Györgytarló had played much better football throughout.
