János Berki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Attila Sinkovits recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ádám Vályogos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Attila Sinkovits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roland Harsányi to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Budapest Honvéd FC's goalkeeper János Berki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Attila Sinkovits. János Berki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ádám Vályogos, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Vince Kocsis charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vince Kocsis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. János Berki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ádám Vályogos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lurkó UFC booed when Budapest Honvéd FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. János Vincze didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes Lurkó UFC got a freekick which was hit by Attila Sinkovits. Krisztián Józsa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Harsányi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Bálint Sólyom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Budapest Honvéd FC's goalkeeper János Berki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Budapest Honvéd FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Márton Gácsi hit a great ball. Ádám Vályogos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. András Balázs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without János Berki having to interfere. András Balázs received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. János Berki came out and tried to block the shot, but András Balázs slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 94th minute. Lurkó UFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
