The mood of the audience was pleasant when György Sárkány made the kick off which started today's match. Attila Selymes charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Attila Selymes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of San Jose Sharks booed when Steel Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attila Selymes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attila Selymes in the 11th minute of play forced San Jose Sharks's goalkeeper Sámuel Simicska to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute György Sárkány shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sámuel Simicska saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. György Sárkány fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sámuel Simicska having to interfere. With a little luck, Steel Tigers's Alfonz Kolompár got control of the ball when Máté Forgács tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Attila Selymes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, San Jose Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when György Sárkány came free, but Sámuel Simicska reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Steel Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Péter Lakatos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of San Jose Sharks booed when Steel Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Péter Lakatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Máté Forgács struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Alfonz Kolompár didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Jose Sharks. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Péter Lakatos during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Steel Tigers's Péter Lakatos got a free kick in the 40th minute. Alfonz Kolompár was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from József Bodonyi. Alfonz Kolompár acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from István Tisza. Máté Forgács fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonz Kolompár having to interfere. Steel Tigers's Péter Lakatos got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Péter Lakatos off the ground. Péter Lakatos kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Máté Forgács to strike the kick off in the second half. If Károly Soós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Steel Tigers's Alfonz Kolompár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levente Gerencsér in the 55th minute of play. Alfonz Kolompár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máté Forgács, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Attila Selymes was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of San Jose Sharks booed when Steel Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attila Selymes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When San Jose Sharks's Máté Forgács in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steel Tigers's goalie prevented a goal. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Jose Sharks's goalkeeper Sámuel Simicska, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Levente Gerencsér hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, László Csákvári managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steel Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but László Csákvári was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sámuel Simicska breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If László Csákvári had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máté Forgács in the 77th minute of play forced Steel Tigers's goalkeeper Alfonz Kolompár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonz Kolompár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Károly Soós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 89 minutes, Levente Gerencsér managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Jose Sharks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Levente Gerencsér was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonz Kolompár showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máté Forgács in the 92nd minute of the match. Alfonz Kolompár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Máté Forgács, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
