Leó Honti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from György Sárkány in the 3rd minute of play. After having played for 4 minutes, Zalán Márton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szabi fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zalán Márton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Szabi fc's Tibor Irmai got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Steel Tigers's zone, Zalán Márton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonz Kolompár came out of the goal and Zalán Márton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertalan Vajda struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Alfonz Kolompár didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szabi fc. After a rather tough play, Steel Tigers's András Kovács got a free kick in the 18th minute. A collision led to Szabi fc getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Zalán Márton hit a great ball. With a little luck, Steel Tigers's Alfonz Kolompár got control of the ball when Zalán Márton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfonz Kolompár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertalan Vajda in the 28th minute of play. The corner led Szabi fc's Vilmos Bodrogi to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfonz Kolompár despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Szabi fc booed when Steel Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Péter Lakatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leó Honti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Csákvári in the 35th minute of the match. Péter Lakatos's late challenge caught a Szabi fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Péter Lakatos helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Steel Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Péter Lakatos. After recieving a nice pass, Szabi fc's Vilmos Bodrogi tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vilmos Bodrogi kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Péter Lakatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell György Sárkány to make the kick off. Leó Honti was a little too slow when László Csákvári got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Konstantin Borsos put in a rough tackle. Péter Lakatos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leó Honti went to the wrong direction when Péter Lakatos was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Szabi fc's Leó Honti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Szabi fc from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Szabi fc booed when Steel Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Péter Lakatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard, long distance shot from Tibor Irmai flew over the goal. Jónás Horváth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Szabi fc's Bertalan Vajda got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Szabi fc's attentive Zalán Márton managed to snatch the ball when József Juhász made a throw-in in the 96th minute of the game.
