One of Galatasaray FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vasas FC:s goal. The referee gave Vasas FC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dániel Pásztor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Galatasaray FC's Pál Berkes. 0-1. Szilárd Szegedi took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pál Berkes. Pál Berkes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pál Berkes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szilárd Szegedi, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A hard shot 26 in the game by Konstantin Salgó from a close distance when the talented Máté Földi managed to make a qualified save. Vasas FC's players were relieved. Máté Földi stood somewhat misplaced when Gusztáv Ballai came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 27 minute. In the 40th minute, Szilárd Szegedi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vasas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 43rd minute Konstantin Salgó suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Kristóf Komáromi's late challenge caught a Galatasaray FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristóf Komáromi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vasas FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Kristóf Komáromi hit a great ball. Szilárd Szegedi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After having played for 52 minutes, László Pápai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but László Pápai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pál Zsinka hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Galatasaray FC's Pál Berkes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szilárd Szegedi in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute Szilárd Szegedi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pál Berkes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pál Berkes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szilárd Szegedi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gusztáv Ballai in the 66th minute of play forced Vasas FC's goalkeeper Máté Földi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Máté Földi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gusztáv Ballai, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Galatasaray FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Szilárd Szegedi 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. Vasas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szilárd Szegedi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray FC's zone, Szilárd Szegedi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pál Berkes came out of the goal and Szilárd Szegedi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
