József Kormos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máté Földi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Szilárd Szokolai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Földi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If József Kormos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Szilárd Szegedi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Juventus Torino's György Somlyai. György Somlyai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Szilárd Szegedi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. László Pápai scored 1-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of György Somlyai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Szilárd Szokolai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Boldizsár Császár mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasas FC and the FC Juventus Torino players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Vasas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boldizsár Császár to maneuver through the defense. Máté Földi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from József Kormos in the 53rd minute of play. László Pápai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without György Somlyai having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play, Vasas FC's László Pápai made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. György Somlyai was left in no man's land by his defense there! László Pápai took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised György Somlyai. György Somlyai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. György Somlyai was a little too slow when László Pápai got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-5. László Pápai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Péter Peterdy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Szilárd Szegedi in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg György Somlyai saved FC Juventus Torino from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Szilárd Szegedi in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck György Somlyai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. László Pápai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. György Somlyai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, FC Juventus Torino's goal looked a bit too open when Szilárd Szegedi came free, but György Somlyai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. László Pápai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of György Somlyai when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded Vasas FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Juventus Torino.
