Csonkahegyhát SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gyulafirátót SE the free kick. Rómeó Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gergely Szűcs having to interfere. Jónás Mezei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Lénárd Temesvári made a huge save. With a little luck, Gyulafirátót SE's Lénárd Temesvári got control of the ball when Jónás Mezei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gergely Szűcs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervin Cziránku in the 26th minute of play. Jónás Mezei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Lénárd Temesvári made a huge save. Rómeó Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Gyulafirátót SE's goalkeeper Lénárd Temesvári had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jónás Mezei. When György Kinizsi fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gyulafirátót SE's protests and gave György Kinizsi a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rómeó Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Csaba Joó had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lénárd Temesvári. Gyulafirátót SE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Csaba Joó was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
