Miklós Somogyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lénárd Temesvári having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Daniel Chesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lénárd Temesvári was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Arnold Sallói kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Miklós Somogyi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lénárd Temesvári. Gyulafirátót SE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th minute, Tibor Szőcs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gyulafirátót SE booed when Vergödő Verebek S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szabolcs Fábián didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Vergödő Verebek S.C's Miklós Somogyi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lénárd Temesvári made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ervin Cziránku could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but János Buday made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Daniel Chesus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vergödő Verebek S.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Lénárd Temesvári took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miklós Somogyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Gyulafirátót SE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vergödő Verebek S.C:s goal. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Vergödő Verebek S.C. Miklós Somogyi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lénárd Temesvári. 0-3. Lénárd Temesvári didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Chesus went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miklós Somogyi in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lénárd Temesvári saved Gyulafirátót SE from getting behind. Iván Bíró kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ervin Cziránku made a kick off. Lénárd Temesvári was a little too slow when Miklós Somogyi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-7. When Miklós Somogyi, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lénárd Temesvári was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Miklós Somogyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vergödő Verebek S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Miklós Somogyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lénárd Temesvári breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gyulafirátót SE getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Iván Bíró hit a great ball. Lénárd Temesvári stood somewhat misplaced when Daniel Chesus came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 87 minute. When Ervin Cziránku fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gyulafirátót SE's protests and gave Ervin Cziránku a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute of the match Szabolcs Fábián sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lénárd Temesvári skillfully saved the ball. Lénárd Temesvári showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miklós Somogyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 93 played minutes Vergödő Verebek S.C got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Avelar. János Buday showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ervin Cziránku in the 95th minute of the match. Daniel Chesus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Lénárd Temesvári when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vergödő Verebek S.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
