After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Ernest Cînu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vág's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Cînu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrik Szabados breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernest Cînu struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Henrik Szabados didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vág. Henrik Szabados showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Géza Dárdai, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Gábor Kásás kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Géza Dárdai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Szabados saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ernest Cînu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Cînu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 26th minute, Ernest Cînu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Zalaháshágy LC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Erik Kovács hit a great ball. If Ernest Cînu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Géza Dárdai received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henrik Szabados came out and tried to block the shot, but Géza Dárdai slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Sámuel in the 35th minute of play forced Vág's goalkeeper Bernt Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Lundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Sámuel in the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by György Hidegkúti during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. György Hidegkúti hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st match minute, Zalaháshágy LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richárd Szabó to maneuver through the defense. If Ernest Cînu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernt Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Sámuel in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Géza Dárdai to make the kick off. Géza Dárdai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Szabados having to interfere. Bernt Lundin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbert Sámuel in the 53rd minute. Róbert Sámuel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 56th playminute. If Ernest Cînu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes, Erik Kovács mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zalaháshágy LC and the Vág players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Vág booed when Zalaháshágy LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Kovács didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Ernest Cînu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrik Szabados showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Géza Dárdai in the 66th minute of the match. Géza Dárdai scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Szabados, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zalaháshágy LC's Henrik Szabados played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Cînu in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Ernest Cînu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by György Hidegkúti in the 85th minute of play forced Vág's goalkeeper Bernt Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Géza Dárdai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrik Szabados having to make a save. When Vince Markó fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zalaháshágy LC's protests and gave Vince Markó a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Vince Markó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernest Cînu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrik Szabados prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
