With a little luck, Újpest FC's Valentin Lustig got control of the ball when Ading Mahuse tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 played minutes Telekgerend .Star.szy. got a freekick which was hit by Aurél Kuncz. After 15 minutes, Mihály Kocsis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Újpest FC and the Telekgerend .Star.szy. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mihály Kocsis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Leitão in the 20th minute of play forced Telekgerend .Star.szy.'s goalkeeper Slawomir Dziedziak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gyula Szusza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Slawomir Dziedziak made a huge save. Valentin Lustig didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ading Mahuse went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Valentin Lustig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ading Mahuse, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Újpest FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
