The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Sócrates kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Torsten Sundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. János Zarka struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Károly Balogh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nagykarácsony. Eulalio Gudesteo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Galambos's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 24 minutes, Viktor Galambos made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nagykarácsony's Eulalio Gudesteo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Szombathelyi HALADÁS's Carlos Sócrates got a free kick in the 27th minute. Károly Balogh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Zarka in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bánk Mónos in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eulalio Gudesteo saved Nagykarácsony from getting behind. 46 minutes into the game, Félix Baló was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nagykarácsony's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szombathelyi HALADÁS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nagykarácsony's Félix Baló got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torsten Sundin to strike the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Gudesteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Galambos in the 54th minute of the match. Eulalio Gudesteo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from József Dudics. When Balázs Veres came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Szombathelyi HALADÁS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balázs Veres couldn't finish the play. If Viktor Galambos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Károly Balogh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from János Zarka, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Viktor Galambos came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Szombathelyi HALADÁS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Galambos couldn't finish the play. Nagykarácsony's Félix Baló got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Mátyás Cziránku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bánk Mónos in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eulalio Gudesteo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Balázs Veres succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 80th playminute. The supporters of Szombathelyi HALADÁS booed when Nagykarácsony was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szabolcs Vándor didn't get a good kick on the ball.
