When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, FC RED BUL's Virgil van Beek got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tamás Bodó. If Dominik Szoboszlai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Roberto Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Lajos Gerő cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tamás Bodó was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fortunato Pellegrini hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC RED BUL getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Virgil van Beek hit a great ball. József Rigó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Sidoro in the 28th minute of play. Tamás Bodó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lajos Gerő in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Szoboszlai in the 43rd minute of play forced Partizán's goalkeeper Tamás Bodó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dominik Szoboszlai was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC RED BUL's goalkeeper József Rigó, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54th minute of the match Partizán got a corner. FC RED BUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benigno Sidoro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benigno Sidoro made a great header on Partizán's corner, it was just that FC RED BUL's József Rigó managed to reach the ball for a save.
