Puskás Akadémia's Gusztáv Horváth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mátyás Gelencsér in the 12th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Puskás Akadémia's goal looked a bit too open when Mátyás Pál came free, but Gusztáv Horváth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Veresi Új Generáció were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Puskás Akadémia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hauk Almli took the corner. Veresi Új Generáció's Hauk Almli was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gusztáv Horváth in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 16th match minute, Puskás Akadémia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ádám Újváry to maneuver through the defense. After 17 played minutes, Veresi Új Generáció's Hauk Almli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gusztáv Horváth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Veresi Új Generáció reached it. After a rather tough play, Veresi Új Generáció's Mátyás Pál got a free kick in the 19th minute. Gusztáv Horváth made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Mátyás Gelencsér sent off a good shot on target. Lénárd Erdélyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zsolt Medve in the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of Veresi Új Generáció booed when Puskás Akadémia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Gyarmati didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mátyás Gelencsér could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Gusztáv Horváth made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ádám Újváry in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lénárd Erdélyi saved Veresi Új Generáció from getting behind. If Márton Koós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mátyás Pál received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gusztáv Horváth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Veresi Új Generáció got a freekick which was hit by Erik Forgács. The supporters of Puskás Akadémia booed when Veresi Új Generáció was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lénárd Erdélyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zsolt Medve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Veresi Új Generáció getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Erik Forgács hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Veresi Új Generáció's goal looked a bit too open when Zsolt Medve came free, but Lénárd Erdélyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ádám Újváry in the 44th minute of play forced Veresi Új Generáció's goalkeeper Lénárd Erdélyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, one of Puskás Akadémia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Gusztáv Horváth, was totally fooled by Veresi Új Generáció's Mátyás Gelencsér, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mátyás Gelencsér stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee showed Márton Koós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Puskás Akadémia's Márton Koós got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 65th match minute, Puskás Akadémia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márton Koós to maneuver through the defense. Lénárd Erdélyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ádám Újváry in the 68th minute of the match. Gusztáv Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferenc Sipos in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Mátyás Gelencsér shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gusztáv Horváth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bánk Lehoczky kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Gusztáv Horváth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mátyás Gelencsér went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Veresi Új Generáció's Mátyás Gelencsér got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Puskás Akadémia were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
