The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Southampton U23 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Benedek Veress hit a great ball. Levente Vámosi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lajos Lantos having to interfere. Lajos Lantos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferenc Baló in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Levente Vámosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Lantos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tiszalök VSE's Milán Béres got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Jeromos Hidegkúti put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Southampton U23:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tiszalök VSE:s goal. Alex Józsa shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Lajos Lantos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Baló in the 30th minute of the match. Lajos Lantos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Levente Vámosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Lajos Lantos came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Tiszalök VSE's Levente Vámosi. But to his dismay, Levente Vámosi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Lajos Lantos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Baló in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, István Tamás had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lajos Lantos. Southampton U23's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that István Tamás was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferenc Baló in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lajos Lantos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ákos Müller to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferenc Baló during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Tiszalök VSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferenc Baló to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Tamás in the 55th minute of play forced Southampton U23's goalkeeper Lajos Lantos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Tamás in the 77th minute of play forced Southampton U23's goalkeeper Lajos Lantos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lajos Lantos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levente Vámosi in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game István Tamás who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Southampton U23's Lajos Lantos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Southampton U23's Lajos Lantos got control of the ball when Ferenc Baló tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute István Tamás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Lantos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mihály Fábián had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiszalök VSE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
