Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kornél Somogyi in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Gyál United's Walmir Breckenfeld sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Szilárd Berkes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hard Life School's Szilárd Berkes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmir Breckenfeld got free with Szilárd Berkes in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, one of Gyál United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gyál United. Tibor Laczkó shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Krisztián Udvarhelyi to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Gábor Mogyorós came free, but Horaţiu Petran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gyál United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hard Life School had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
