Greenboys FC's Danilo Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Albäck in the 9th minute of play. Danilo Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tihamér Angyal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Greenboys FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herberto Mascarenhas was slow to take the kick. During this time Pénzügyőr SE's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Pénzügyőr SE's corner Tihamér Angyal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Danilo Vaz quite easily take care of the ball. The corner led Pénzügyőr SE's Bertil Albäck to fire away a dangerous shot which Danilo Vaz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Herberto Mascarenhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Albäck in the 27th minute of play forced Greenboys FC's goalkeeper Danilo Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Pénzügyőr SE's Erben Kiewit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
