After taking down the ball on SS Pacha's corner Salim Mekhloufi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jeromos Petres quite easily take care of the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Ádám Gergely who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SS Pacha's Csaba Vándor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of SS Pacha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Szombathelyi Haladás:s goal. Lajos Mayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jeromos Petres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Szombathelyi Haladás's Jeromos Petres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Péter Kaiser in the 25th minute of play. Jeromos Petres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferenc Bodrogi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32ndth minute of the game Ádám Gergely who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SS Pacha's Csaba Vándor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Szombathelyi Haladás's goal looked a bit too open when Lajos Mayer came free, but Jeromos Petres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SS Pacha were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Szombathelyi Haladás's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Micha Klain took the corner. SS Pacha's Micha Klain was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jeromos Petres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jeromos Petres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Bodrogi in the 42nd minute of the match. Ferenc Bodrogi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jeromos Petres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ádám Gergely to make the kick off. Jeromos Petres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Péter Kaiser, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 55 minutes, Jakab Szekeres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szombathelyi Haladás and the SS Pacha players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Szombathelyi Haladás getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jakab Szekeres hit a great ball. In the 57th minute of the match, Péter Kaiser tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jeromos Petres saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The tension between the SS Pacha and the Szombathelyi Haladás players grew even worse after the yellow card.
