If Branimir Vodanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3-0 became the score in the 35th minute when Branimir Vodanović elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Branimir Vodanović got free with Edi Zauner in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edi Zauner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dražen Defrančeski in the 42nd minute of play. Branimir Vodanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edi Zauner having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Voloder Uskok got a freekick which was hit by Žarko Šelendić. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dražen Defrančeski to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Voloder Uskok's zone, Dražen Defrančeski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edi Zauner came out of the goal and Dražen Defrančeski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edi Zauner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dražen Defrančeski, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Branimir Vodanović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaštel Kambelovac's supporters rose to their feet, but Branimir Vodanović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edi Zauner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edi Zauner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Srećko Hozjak, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Dražen Defrančeski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edi Zauner. Voloder Uskok's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dražen Defrančeski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Kaštel Kambelovac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dražen Defrančeski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Oliver Ilišević notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Voloder Uskok's Edi Zauner. Edi Zauner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dražen Defrančeski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Branimir Vodanović scored 6-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edi Zauner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Voloder Uskok's zone, Sven Međurečan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edi Zauner came out of the goal and Sven Međurečan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dražen Defrančeski in the 92nd minute of play forced Voloder Uskok's goalkeeper Edi Zauner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
