Nikica Lutkić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucijan Krnić having to interfere. If Jadranko Švenda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikica Lutkić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lucijan Krnić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mile Svirac got free in front of the goal in the 11th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Lucijan Krnić was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Staro Petrovo Selo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grga Rakočević to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samobor Juzno's goalkeeper Lucijan Krnić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nikica Lutkić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lucijan Krnić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Staro Petrovo Selo's Mile Svirac got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Nikica Lutkić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucijan Krnić was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 28 played minutes Samobor Juzno got a freekick which was hit by Jadranko Švenda. Stjepan Damjanić hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Vlado Kukolj kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Paško Gospić had several of the Staro Petrovo Selo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 45 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Miljenko Domitrović as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jadranko Švenda was the one to do the kick off. Lucijan Krnić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mile Svirac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Samobor Juzno's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alan Panda was slow to take the kick. During this time Staro Petrovo Selo's players had a chance to rest. Ostoja Matić was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 73 minutes in the game, Mile Svirac fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lucijan Krnić having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Samobor Juzno's Alen Škarić got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Nikica Lutkić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staro Petrovo Selo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikica Lutkić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucijan Krnić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mile Svirac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Lucijan Krnić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miljenko Domitrović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jadranko Švenda, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paško Gospić in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miljenko Domitrović saved Staro Petrovo Selo from getting behind. With a little luck, Samobor Juzno's Lucijan Krnić got control of the ball when Nikica Lutkić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paško Gospić struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Miljenko Domitrović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samobor Juzno. Mile Svirac's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucijan Krnić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Martin Vukčević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Staro Petrovo Selo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
