Toni Katalenić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stojko Šarić in the 18th minute of play. When Stojko Šarić came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stojko Šarić couldn't finish the play. Župan's Toni Katalenić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stojko Šarić in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Snješko Dželalija during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Župan getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Snješko Dželalija hit a great ball. With a little luck, Barcelona's Severin Buljan got control of the ball when Juraj Šuker tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Krešo Felver made a kick off. Berislav Kerman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Toni Katalenić when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 57 played minutes Stojko Šarić rounded Župan's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. Berislav Hac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Katalenić having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Župan's goalkeeper Toni Katalenić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berislav Kerman. In the 66th minute Stojko Šarić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Katalenić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Barcelona's Berislav Hac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toni Katalenić narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
