Spectators: 7729 (Terracing: 5839, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 100) Matej Zekić started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Matej Zekić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Zoltan Peruško tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes of play, Jelkovec's Davor Röwe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zoltan Peruško was left in no man's land by his defense there! Veselin Kladarić came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Punat's Lucijan Mrakovčić. But to his dismay, Lucijan Mrakovčić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 16thth minute of the game Matej Zekić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Punat's Zoltan Peruško was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Veselin Kladarić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arijan Paljan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Punat's Zoltan Peruško played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vice Ladović in the 18th minute of play. Kruno Vasiljević kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Matej Zekić struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Zoltan Peruško didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jelkovec. Jelkovec's Vice Ladović got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Jelkovec getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Andro Sremić hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Ratko Kvaternik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Zoltan Peruško was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jelkovec's Ratko Kvaternik got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matej Zekić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kruno Vasiljević hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Matija Zec hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matej Zekić in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoltan Peruško saved Punat from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The supporters of Jelkovec booed when Punat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Živko Živković didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dobriša Moćan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matej Zekić's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Zoltan Peruško skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zoltan Peruško took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ratko Kvaternik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Jelkovec's goal looked a bit too open when Arijan Paljan came free, but Veselin Kladarić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zoltan Peruško made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matej Zekić in the 72nd minute. 77 minutes into the game, Ratko Kvaternik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Zoltan Peruško was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 81 minutes into the game, Davor Röwe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. In the 85th minute Lucijan Mrakovčić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veselin Kladarić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jelkovec's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
