Spectators: 5120 (Terracing: 4050, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 20) Gordan Osrečak started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vid Duplančić might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miodrag Bauer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vid Duplančić ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordan Osrečak in the 7th minute of play forced THC United's goalkeeper Borislav Buva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. THC United's Rene Stazić got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nikola Brezovečki struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Miodrag Bauer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THC United. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Vid Duplančić managed to get in a good position for a shot. THC United's supporters rose to their feet, but Vid Duplančić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miodrag Bauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Želimir Korkut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, THC United's Nikola Brezovečki got a free kick in the 17th minute. From close distance Vid Duplančić pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 20 minutes into the game. Vid Duplančić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aleksandar Trohar kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, THC United's Velimir Kovačiček broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When THC United's Vid Duplančić in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dubrovčan's goalie prevented a goal. In the 38th minute Vid Duplančić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miodrag Bauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borislav Buva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordan Osrečak, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Perica Čekalović was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. Borislav Buva had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Vlatko Dodaj's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andro Opačić to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Andro Opačić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. THC United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dubrovčan the free kick. Andro Opačić kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Nikola Brezovečki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miodrag Bauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Stazić, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Dubrovčan's Rikard Milanković got a free kick in the 59th minute. Gordan Osrečak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, THC United's goalkeeper Borislav Buva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Želimir Korkut. In the 71st minute, Nikola Brezovečki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. THC United's Borislav Buva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save THC United from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Dubrovčan's zone, Nikola Brezovečki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miodrag Bauer came out of the goal and Nikola Brezovečki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Borislav Buva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordan Osrečak, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Nikola Brezovečki came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the THC United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikola Brezovečki couldn't finish the play. Nino Pezelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Dubrovčan defense, Nikola Brezovečki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miodrag Bauer. The Dubrovčan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miodrag Bauer should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that THC United were the better team. THC United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
