If Držislav Jurić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NK Dubrovnik's Držislav Jurić got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, NK Dubrovnik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedjeljko Dželalija to maneuver through the defense. Želimir Korkut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jakša Karna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Dubrovčan's goalkeeper Miodrag Bauer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Srećko Valentić. Miodrag Bauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Držislav Jurić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jakša Karna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Želimir Korkut in the 36th minute of play. Jakša Karna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Želimir Korkut, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Gordan Osrečak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakša Karna having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Želimir Korkut in the 42nd minute of play forced NK Dubrovnik's goalkeeper Jakša Karna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakša Karna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gordan Osrečak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jakša Karna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordan Osrečak in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Rikard Milanković cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jakša Karna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gordan Osrečak made the kick off in the second half. Želimir Korkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 56 played minutes Gordan Osrečak rounded NK Dubrovnik's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Dubrovčan's Želimir Korkut got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Želimir Korkut got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Gordan Osrečak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Želimir Korkut came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Dubrovčan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Želimir Korkut couldn't finish the play. When Dubrovčan's Gordan Osrečak in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NK Dubrovnik's goalie prevented a goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Držislav Jurić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dubrovčan's Miodrag Bauer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miodrag Bauer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Srećko Valentić's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Njegoš Krstičević kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Držislav Jurić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Rikard Milanković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 played minutes NK Dubrovnik got a freekick which was hit by Njegoš Krstičević. Jakša Karna made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Vlatko Dodaj sent off a good shot on target. The NK Dubrovnik supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dubrovčan's performance. The match ended with a win for Dubrovčan.
