He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kamen reached it. After having played for 24 minutes, Želimir Korkut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dubrovčan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Želimir Korkut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kamen's Goran Ljubičić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Kamen from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kamen's goalkeeper Goran Ljubičić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niko Bilobrk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Želimir Korkut took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Goran Ljubičić. Goran Ljubičić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Kamen getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dražen Peroš hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Dubrovčan's Vlatko Dodaj tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niko Bilobrk in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miodrag Bauer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Dubrovčan's Jerko Pogorelić got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Dubrovčan's goalkeeper Miodrag Bauer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Niko Bilobrk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamen's Niko Bilobrk was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
