Srećko Valentić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goran Ljubičić having to interfere. After 9 minutes, Gvozden Laušić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kamen and the NK Dubrovnik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Srećko Valentić could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Goran Ljubičić however easily saved by the left post. When Kamen's Niko Bilobrk in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NK Dubrovnik's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Kamen getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Niko Bilobrk hit a great ball. Kamen's Goran Ljubičić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Držislav Jurić in the 19th minute of play. Gvozden Laušić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zrinko Matešić took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jakša Karna. Jakša Karna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 34th minute, Njegoš Krstičević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 35 minutes, Zrinko Matešić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kamen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zrinko Matešić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Niko Bilobrk sped through NK Dubrovnik's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jakša Karna. In the 42nd minute, Zrinko Matešić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kamen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When Niko Bilobrk came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Kamen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niko Bilobrk couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Držislav Jurić to strike the kick off in the second half. If Zrinko Matešić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dražen Peroš in the 59th minute of play forced NK Dubrovnik's goalkeeper Jakša Karna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kamen's attack was well implemented in the 62nd minute, but when Niko Bilobrk was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Zrinko Matešić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jakša Karna made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Dražen Peroš kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jakša Karna. That made the score 0-4 in the 67 minute of play. Niko Bilobrk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 77th minute of the match Gvozden Laušić completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gvozden Laušić a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Kamen getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Gvozden Laušić hit a great ball. A hard shot 82 in the game by Zrinko Matešić from a close distance when the talented Jakša Karna managed to make a qualified save. NK Dubrovnik's players were relieved. Dražen Peroš struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Jakša Karna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kamen. If Dražen Peroš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
