Lipovljani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vice Zafranović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vice Zafranović was the one to do the kick off. Mijat Opašić received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ratko Krešan came out and tried to block the shot, but Mijat Opašić slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 55th minute. If Grgur Prgomet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roko Topol hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jurica Miljuš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vice Zafranović in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's Vice Zafranović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jurica Miljuš narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
