Maestral Split's Miodrag Taban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izidor Kartus in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of HNK VAVO Rajić booed when Maestral Split was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Klešnik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miodrag Taban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izidor Kartus in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Izidor Kartus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maestral Split's Miodrag Taban was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miodrag Taban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Paral, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A collision led to Maestral Split getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Edi Stipičević hit a great ball. Izidor Kartus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Izidor Kartus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Miodrag Taban made a huge save. In the 65th match minute, Maestral Split was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Snješko Purić to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Izidor Kartus sped through Maestral Split's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miodrag Taban. In the 74thth minute of the game Igor Klešnik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HNK VAVO Rajić's Vice Ljuština was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Paral in the 75th minute of play forced Maestral Split's goalkeeper Miodrag Taban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Izidor Kartus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, HNK VAVO Rajić's Miodrag Taban threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Renato Paral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Stjepko Kifer's late challenge caught a Maestral Split's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stjepko Kifer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, HNK VAVO Rajić's Stjepko Kifer got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes, Vid Kraljević mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HNK VAVO Rajić and the Maestral Split players grew even worse after the yellow card. HNK VAVO Rajić's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
