Spectators: 7875 (Terracing: 5907, Seating: 1811, VIP seats: 157) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Darko Tivanovac kicked off to start the match. Mileta Šoštar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Resman, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Barun Juniors's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Darko Tivanovac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Đino Malović kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Silvije Špičko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 37 minutes of play, Stara Gradiška's Darko Tivanovac made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mijat Ordanić was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Barun Juniors defense, Darko Tivanovac kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mijat Ordanić. The Barun Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mijat Ordanić should have stopped the shot. If Silvije Špičko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 49th minute Stara Gradiška were awarded a corner. Perica Rinkovec went to the cornerflag to take it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jura Brečak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mileta Šoštar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Barun Juniors booed when Stara Gradiška was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Glaurdić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Jura Brečak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mijat Ordanić came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Stara Gradiška's Silvije Špičko. But to his dismay, Silvije Špičko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.
