Ibrica Dodaj kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Lucijan Grubelić shot a long shot in the 13th minute and a light blocked Zvonko Čorić hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-1. After 17 minutes, Ibrica Dodaj mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peteranec Tekstilac and the Bale Neretva players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Peteranec Tekstilac's Ibrica Dodaj got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Berislav Škurina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berislav Škurina during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Berislav Škurina hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of Bale Neretva booed when Peteranec Tekstilac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Šandor Marković didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Lugarić in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zvonko Čorić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zoran Ljolje blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dejan Hohnjec having to make a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zoran Ljolje to make the kick off. Bale Neretva's Roman Lugarić got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antun Stipišić's late challenge caught a Peteranec Tekstilac's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antun Stipišić helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bale Neretva getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Antun Stipišić hit a great ball. Zvonko Čorić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Lugarić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Peteranec Tekstilac defense, Berislav Škurina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvonko Čorić. The Peteranec Tekstilac fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvonko Čorić should have stopped the shot. Dubravko Martinić took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dejan Hohnjec. Dejan Hohnjec dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Roman Lugarić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zvonko Čorić having to interfere. A collision led to Peteranec Tekstilac getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bartol Wolf hit a great ball. Bale Neretva's Lucijan Grubelić couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Peteranec Tekstilac. When Bale Neretva's Roman Lugarić in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peteranec Tekstilac's goalie prevented a goal. If Roman Lugarić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Peteranec Tekstilac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibrica Dodaj to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Zvonko Čorić managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Bale Neretva's Berislav Škurina fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berislav Škurina got free with Zvonko Čorić in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bale Neretva eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
