With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jadranko Treger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mladen Mužić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdenko Đapić in the 22nd minute of play. Zdenko Đapić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dobroslav Belina fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Đakovački Selci's protests and gave Dobroslav Belina a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Koprivnički Bregi OŠK booed when Đakovački Selci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobroslav Belina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Zoltan Mesarić recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jadranko Treger. Zoltan Mesarić showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A hard shot 34 in the game by Gustav Fertalj from a close distance when the talented Jadranko Treger managed to make a qualified save. Đakovački Selci's players were relieved. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Zoltan Mesarić made the kick off in the second half. Koprivnički Bregi OŠK's Mladen Mužić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danijel Šeks in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, Đakovački Selci's Dobroslav Belina made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mladen Mužić was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 60 minutes, Danijel Šeks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Đakovački Selci's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danijel Šeks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Zoltan Mesarić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zdenko Đapić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvije Klaić charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvije Klaić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Đakovački Selci's Silvije Klaić got a free kick in the 67th minute. Zdenko Đapić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danijel Šeks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mladen Mužić having to interfere. Koprivnički Bregi OŠK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Zdenko Đapić scored to the left of an out of position Mladen Mužić, making the score, 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Dobroslav Belina got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 93rd minute, Silvije Klaić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Koprivnički Bregi OŠK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Danijel Šeks scored to the left of an out of position Mladen Mužić, making the score, 1-3. The Đakovački Selci players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
