Sanjin Lukin kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Tonko Đurković made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Zdenko Frank sent off a good shot on target. Zaprešić's Tonko Đurković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zvonimir Radeta in the 13th minute of play. The Mali Erjavec fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Mali Erjavec's Zdenko Frank looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tonko Đurković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zvonimir Radeta in the 22nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mali Erjavec's Tonko Đurković threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oto Pleše, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 31 minutes into the match, Zaprešić's goalkeeper Tonko Đurković had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zdenko Frank. In the 33rd minute Marijan Gracin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Turčin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match Zdenko Frank climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Tonko Đurković. The supporters of Mali Erjavec booed when Zaprešić was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Vejić didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Zaprešić's Tonko Đurković got control of the ball when Zdenko Frank tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valter Turčin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marijan Gracin in the 53rd minute. Tonko Đurković showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zvonimir Radeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Zaprešić's Tomo Gobac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valter Turčin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zvonimir Radeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tonko Đurković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zvonimir Radeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tonko Đurković was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 90th match minute Saša Veverec ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Valter Turčin. 3-2. There was no doubt that Mali Erjavec were the better team. Mali Erjavec's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
