In the 9thth minute of the game Zlatan Pintar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaj Lokomotiva's Anđelko Brezak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isak Fabijanac in the 11th minute of play forced Marinci's goalkeeper Nenad Široka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Andrijašević recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jadranko Leib kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Nenad Široka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Andrijašević in the 19th minute of play. Gaj Lokomotiva's Lino Andrijašević got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Marinci's goalkeeper Nenad Široka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anđelko Brezak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatan Pintar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lino Andrijašević's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nenad Široka was relentless in the 38th minute of the game.
