The supporters of FC Pivo booed when Marinci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jadranko Leib didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, FC Pivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Želimir Štefanić to maneuver through the defense. Marinci's Dražen Milanković couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Pivo. FC Pivo's Đino Jendrić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mislav Brdar in the 39th minute of play.

The wind increased when Rikard Lovrinović made the kick off in the second half. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Marinci walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
