After a defensive mix-up in NK Imotski's zone, Dobriša Đurić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Bečki came out of the goal and Dobriša Đurić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dobriša Đurić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vrbanja Kupa booed when NK Imotski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandi Perendija didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ljubomir Samuda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Miro Pekić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Danijel Žubrinić fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NK Imotski's protests and gave Danijel Žubrinić a yellow card for diving instead. Miro Pekić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Jendrić in the 46th minute of the match. Vrbanja Kupa's Miro Pekić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Vrbanja Kupa from getting a goal against them. After the first half Vrbanja Kupa were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dobriša Đurić made the kick off in the second half. Vrbanja Kupa's Davor Sabolek got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Davor Sabolek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miro Pekić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ljubomir Samuda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Danijel Žubrinić was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. Danijel Žubrinić hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The long shot by Časlav Ljubić in the 78th minute really tested Filip Bečki's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Davor Sabolek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davor Sabolek got free with Filip Bečki in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ljubomir Samuda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
