Mario Perazić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kruno Gusar went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Zaprešić defense, Stojko Kisin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vedran Andrejaš. The Zaprešić fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vedran Andrejaš should have stopped the shot. After 43 played minutes Kokolo i njegov sin got a freekick which was hit by Duško Rapo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kruno Gusar got free with Mario Perazić in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stojko Kisin scored 1-3 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vedran Andrejaš, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Kristijan Pavlica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vedran Andrejaš having to interfere. The supporters of Zaprešić booed when Kokolo i njegov sin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Bježančević didn't get a good kick on the ball.
