The crowd rose to their feet as ZP grey wolves's Jakša Gašpert slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Devčić. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. After some careless play in the ZP grey wolves defense, Nenad Klarić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berislav Vujičić. The ZP grey wolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berislav Vujičić should have stopped the shot. Jakša Gašpert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Devčić having to interfere. Frano Stepanović struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Berislav Vujičić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lički Osik. In the 18th minute, Miran Mihovilović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lički Osik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Sandi Špralja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Vračić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berislav Vujičić having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oton Mužanović during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ZP grey wolves's Oton Mužanović got a free kick in the 25th minute. Berislav Vujičić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miran Mihovilović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lički Osik's Nenad Klarić got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lički Osik's zone, Jan Pigac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After having played for 48 minutes, Jan Pigac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZP grey wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Pigac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandi Špralja made a kick off. Rene Devčić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakša Gašpert in the 57th minute of play. Rene Devčić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakša Gašpert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Jakša Gašpert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Devčić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lički Osik's Rene Devčić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Pigac in the 64th minute of play. Rene Devčić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Pigac, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Sandi Špralja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berislav Vujičić was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. ZP grey wolves's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
