Donji Laduč's Joško Selestrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severin Čarapić in the 10th minute of play. Severin Čarapić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Severin Čarapić came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC MLD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severin Čarapić couldn't finish the play. Marcel Školjarev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joško Selestrin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severin Čarapić, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC MLD's zone, Mladen Tvrdić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Kramarić came out of the goal and Mladen Tvrdić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, FC MLD's goal looked a bit too open when Mladen Tvrdić came free, but Antonio Kramarić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severin Čarapić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Joško Selestrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franko Hemula to make the kick off. Mladen Tvrdić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Antonio Kramarić made a huge save. 53 minutes into the match, Donji Laduč's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Školjarev came free, but Joško Selestrin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Budimir's late challenge caught a FC MLD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severin Čarapić scored 4-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joško Selestrin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcel Školjarev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 91 minutes, Marcel Školjarev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MLD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Školjarev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mladen Tvrdić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 95 minutes, Mladen Tvrdić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donji Laduč's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mladen Tvrdić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC MLD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
