Spectators: 7979 (Terracing: 5985, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Severin Čarapić took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, FC MLD's Jerko Žiha got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Stjepan Karapandža took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severin Čarapić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Zvonimir Huskić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC MLD's Severin Čarapić got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Zvijerci Vitez got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Šerbedžija. Većeslav Zukić struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Antonio Kramarić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zvijerci Vitez. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ernest Šturbek put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Antonio Kramarić. After a defensive mix-up in FC MLD's zone, Većeslav Zukić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Kramarić came out of the goal and Većeslav Zukić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stjepan Karapandža showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severin Čarapić, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Bruno Šelendić hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ernest Šturbek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Kramarić having to make a save. Antonio Kramarić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Šturbek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36thth minute of the game Ernest Šturbek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC MLD's Antonio Kramarić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Severin Čarapić managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC MLD's supporters rose to their feet, but Severin Čarapić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stjepan Karapandža breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC MLD's Severin Čarapić got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute of the match, Ernest Šturbek tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antonio Kramarić saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernest Šturbek to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Marcel Školjarev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Antonio Kramarić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Šturbek in the 66th minute of the match. Većeslav Zukić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Antonio Kramarić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Školjarev got free with Stjepan Karapandža in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC MLD's Ranko Kancir pulled a muscle in his leg after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 72 minutes, Miodrag Osmanlić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zvijerci Vitez and the FC MLD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miodrag Osmanlić kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 minutes of play, FC MLD's Marcel Školjarev made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stjepan Karapandža was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Zvijerci Vitez booed when FC MLD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerko Žiha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th match minute, Zvijerci Vitez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Šturbek to maneuver through the defense. When Severin Čarapić came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the FC MLD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severin Čarapić couldn't finish the play. If Ernest Šturbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Školjarev kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Većeslav Zukić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Kramarić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of FC MLD were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Zvijerci Vitez side.
