Dragan Turković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đino Vračarić having to interfere. NK Zrinski's Đino Vračarić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save NK Zrinski from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute, Mijo Pavuna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Vinogradci OSK's Zdeslav Ćalaga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ivo Tijanić hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Kristijan Bobić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Domagoj Gajić made a precise shot to the right of Feliks Čuljat. Vinogradci OSK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, Domagoj Gajić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Feliks Čuljat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdeslav Ćalaga in the 30th minute of play forced NK Zrinski's goalkeeper Đino Vračarić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Zdeslav Ćalaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinogradci OSK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zdeslav Ćalaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đino Vračarić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the game, Vinogradci OSK's Dragan Turković nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Đino Vračarić made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Dragan Turković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domagoj Gajić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as NK Zrinski's Domagoj Gajić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Feliks Čuljat. That made the score 2-3 after 53 minutes of play. Zdeslav Ćalaga struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Đino Vračarić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vinogradci OSK. Dragan Turković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Đino Vračarić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Dragan Turković managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinogradci OSK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragan Turković was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dragan Turković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Đino Vračarić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kristijan Bobić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miomir Kljajić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vinogradci OSK booed when NK Zrinski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pravdan Delale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Krsto Šušak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Đino Vračarić skillfully saved the ball.
