After a rather tough play, Lički Osik's Miran Mihovilović got a free kick in the 12th minute. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 57th minute, Miran Mihovilović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FC MLD's Severin Čarapić in the 68th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rene Devčić was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Lički Osik through an amazing save. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Vračić might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Kramarić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernest Vračić ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mirko Ružička fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lički Osik had played much better football throughout.
