Spectators: 6843 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stjepan Mandarić started the match with the kick off. After 8 minutes, Despot Žufić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK Rječina and the Donji Čehi Drava players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, NK Rječina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Despot Žufić to maneuver through the defense. When Ratko Palihnić came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Donji Čehi Drava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ratko Palihnić couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Držimir Paškov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Petar Ferdić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, NK Rječina's Toni Uroda got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veselin Kukec in the 25th minute of play forced Donji Čehi Drava's goalkeeper Mile Muhar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Jakša Ciglenečki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NK Rječina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donji Čehi Drava the free kick. After a rather tough play, NK Rječina's Jakša Ciglenečki got a free kick in the 27th minute. Miomir Cerin succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 37th minute, David Jelinek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Stanislav Šušić from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Petar Ferdić's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 45 minutes into the match, NK Rječina's goalkeeper Petar Ferdić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Držimir Paškov. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Miomir Cerin made the kick off in the second half. Mile Muhar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Veselin Kukec in the 58th minute. Toni Uroda got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, NK Rječina's Toni Uroda got a free kick in the 60th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Stjepan Mandarić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donji Čehi Drava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stjepan Mandarić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Veselin Kukec managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Rječina's supporters rose to their feet, but Veselin Kukec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mile Muhar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the match, Donji Čehi Drava's goal looked a bit too open when Ilija Lemić came free, but Mile Muhar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stjepan Mandarić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Petar Ferdić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Držimir Paškov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Petar Ferdić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute, Janko Hinić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Veselin Kukec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mile Muhar having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Donji Čehi Drava's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Veselin Kukec fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Držimir Paškov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Petar Ferdić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stjepan Mandarić took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petar Ferdić. Petar Ferdić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Donji Čehi Drava fans cheered their team off the field, for while NK Rječina had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
