Spectators: 7946 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Domagoj Gajić started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Zvijerci Vitez got a freekick which was hit by Franko Čermak. Đino Vračarić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Većeslav Zukić went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Silvije Brčić hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind NK Zrinski's goalkeeper Đino Vračarić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duje Nežić hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Đino Vračarić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Šturbek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zvijerci Vitez's Pero Dorčić was substituted for Ljubomir Birkić. After a rather tough play, NK Zrinski's Silvije Brčić got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Zvijerci Vitez's Alan Nikšić in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Đino Vračarić guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In a very dangerous position, a player in NK Zrinski fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute, Pravdan Delale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernest Šturbek, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Stjepan Karapandža took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domagoj Gajić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domagoj Gajić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stjepan Karapandža having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Zvijerci Vitez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Šerbedžija to maneuver through the defense. Kristijan Bobić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stjepan Karapandža having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernest Šturbek to make the kick off. NK Zrinski's Đino Vračarić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save NK Zrinski from getting a goal against them. Ernest Šturbek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đino Vračarić having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Šturbek in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Đino Vračarić saved NK Zrinski from getting behind. The supporters of NK Zrinski booed when Zvijerci Vitez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franko Čermak didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ernest Šturbek came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Zvijerci Vitez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Šturbek couldn't finish the play. Zvijerci Vitez's Stjepan Karapandža played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domagoj Gajić in the 81st minute of play. After 83 minutes, Alan Nikšić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zvijerci Vitez and the NK Zrinski players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of NK Zrinski booed when Zvijerci Vitez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Nikšić didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 played minutes NK Zrinski got a freekick which was hit by Ivica Tenjer. When Ivica Tenjer fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NK Zrinski's protests and gave Ivica Tenjer a yellow card for diving instead. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Đino Vračarić successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kristijan Bobić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zvijerci Vitez played a much better game than NK Zrinski and deserved their victory. The NK Zrinski players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
