The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, NK Shpaolin's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Vida came free, but Radoslav Knezović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes NK Shpaolin got a freekick which was hit by Mileta Dragić. In the 26th minute, Vanja Merlić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zlatko Lujanac was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Gradimir Kostanjevečki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gradimir Kostanjevečki really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Natko Banović might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radoslav Knezović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natko Banović ran back to his position shaking his head. Augustin Vida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibrica Golić was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, NK Shpaolin's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Vida came free, but Radoslav Knezović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gradimir Kostanjevečki to make the kick off. Dušan Gudelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zlatko Lujanac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dušan Gudelj in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Vuletići United's goalkeeper Zlatko Lujanac, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kazimir Tukša struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Radoslav Knezović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Vuletići United. The supporters of FC Vuletići United booed when NK Shpaolin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobroslav Biškup didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugen Stolnik was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 89 played minutes NK Shpaolin got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Stolnik. NK Shpaolin's Radoslav Knezović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Vida in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Dušan Gudelj ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zlatko Lujanac was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Adolf Nađ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Zlatko Lujanac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. NK Shpaolin had won after a very even match.
