In the 5th minute Branko Mijatović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florijan Gazivoda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Branko Mijatović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Petar Školjarev came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Gradina United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petar Školjarev couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Njegoš Dominković got free with Florijan Gazivoda in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's goal looked a bit too open when Petar Školjarev came free, but Zoran Kaleb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branko Mijatović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florijan Gazivoda having to interfere. After 25 played minutes HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC got a freekick which was hit by Berislav Mužić. Zoran Kaleb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tvrtko Štimac, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Tvrtko Štimac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Zoran Kaleb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petar Školjarev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoran Kaleb having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Gradina United's Tvrtko Štimac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zoran Kaleb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tvrtko Štimac in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zoran Kaleb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 57th minute, Petar Školjarev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zoran Kaleb was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 64th minute Boris Domić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florijan Gazivoda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tvrtko Štimac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tvrtko Štimac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lazar Ćirić hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's Maksim Goleš broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Branko Mijatović in the 82nd minute of play forced Gradina United's goalkeeper Florijan Gazivoda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Branko Mijatović sped through Gradina United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Florijan Gazivoda. Petar Školjarev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gradina United's goalkeeper Florijan Gazivoda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
