After a rather tough play, Pula's Belimir Vrbanić got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Ljubomir Kuna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Larkin Coote lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 12th minute, one of Pula:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pula. Pula:s Arne Sandström showed great skill when he stopped Ferdinand Venturin:s penalty. The excitement rose when Sinjac's Ferdinand Venturin after 15 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Pula's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. Arne Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Želimir Matjašec in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Sinjac getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ivan Kaić hit a great ball. In the 29th match minute, Sinjac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Špoljar to maneuver through the defense. Pula's Francesco Capone shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vedran Moćan but with some difficulty. Pula's Arne Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Venturin in the 32nd minute of play. Arne Sandström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ljubomir Kuna in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Ljubomir Kuna made a precise shot to the right of Arne Sandström. Pula's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 47 minutes into the game, Jakov Futač was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pula's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sinjac the free kick. Jakov Futač hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ferdinand Venturin made the kick off in the second half. Arne Sandström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ljubomir Kuna, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Sinjac booed when Pula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kryspin Rzeszutko didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ferdinand Venturin came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sinjac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Venturin couldn't finish the play. After 61 played minutes Pula got a freekick which was hit by Kryspin Rzeszutko. In the 67th minute, Sinjac's Ferdinand Venturin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arne Sandström. Arne Sandström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Vedran Moćan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Rzeszutko in the 74th minute of play. Eugen Crnjak hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Krešo Knez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pula's supporters rose to their feet, but Krešo Knez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vedran Moćan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arne Sandström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Venturin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Želimir Matjašec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Francesco Capone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Sinjac could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pula throughout the match.
